Frank Pitt - Head Coach - Varsity Boys
Coach Pitt is in his ninth year as the Head Coach for the Boy’s Varsity team at NHS. He holds a USSF “A” coaching license and he has coached at the youth, high school, and collegiate level. Overall, he’s been coaching for 32 years. He was a former player at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Frank has extensive playing and coaching experience. Frank has a philosophy that the game should be fun and that practices should be developed with that in mind. He has a Bachelor's in History from UAB and a Masters of Education from the University of Montevallo. |
Laura Freeman - Head Coach - Varsity Girls
Coach Laura Freeman is in her first year as Head Coach of the Lady Blue Devils soccer team. Prior to Norcross she has coached at Heritage High School in Rockdale County since 2016, where she helped lead the Patriots to state playoffs every year including to the Final Four in 2019. Under Coach Freeman, the Patriots finished as Region Champs twice and she was also named Region Coach of the Year in 2021. While at Heritage she was the social studies department head, football advisor, and assistant volleyball coach. Coach Freeman has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science as well as a Master's in Teaching from the University of Arkansas and is currently teaching CP and Honors World History and also coaches flag football. She lives in Atlanta with her corgi, Sandy.

Seth Ouelette - Head Coach - JV Boys
During the 2023 season Coach Ouellette embarks on his fifth year as the JV Boys’ coach at Norcross. He currently teaches CP and Honors World History.
Prior to coaching at Norcross, Coach Ouellette was the JV Boys’ Coach at North Gwinnett for one fun filled season. Coach Ouellette grew up playing soccer in California and then continued playing upon entering the military. He was a player and coach for the intramural team and trained members of the Marine Corps Soccer Team. After leaving the military, Coach Ouellette played intramurals at GSU, where he earned his degree in History and his M.A.T. He currently holds a USSF “D” Coaching License. Coach Ouellette has been married to his gorgeous, intelligent, and amazing wife Kelly for eleven years. They have two rambunctious boys, Truson (6) and Asher (4), who love Blue Devil Soccer! |
John Callahan - Head Coach - JV Girls
This will be Coach John Callahan’s 1st year as the Head Coach of the Lady Blue Devils junior varsity soccer team. He served as the Assistant Head Coach last year. He has coached soccer for 12 years at the youth and middle school levels and also coaches 9th grade football. He attended attended St. Pius X High School and played soccer for them from 1985 -1988 (State Championship in 1987).
After graduating from St. Pius, Coach Callahan attended Georgia Southern and Brenau University. John is a native of Dunwoody where he lives with his wife, Valerie. They have a son, Brendon (20), and a daughter, Peyton (16). |
Ben O’Connell - Assistant & Goalkeeper Coach - Varsity Boys
Coach O’Connell is in his 1st year as the Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach for the Boy’s Varsity team at NHS. He has trained goalkeepers at the youth, high school, and club level for 6 years. Ben was a former club and high school player in New Jersey, and had received multiple offers to play at the collegiate level, but unfortunately was forced to stop playing due to a serious concussion during his senior year, following a long history of concussions. Ben focuses on growth in his coaching, as one of his main goals is seeing his players and keepers reach their maximum potential while also being someone that is extremely approachable for players if they ever have issues or questions in general. He has a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Masters of Biology from the University of Central Arkansas, where he conducted and published research on forest ecosystems and tree stress. Ben currently teaches Biology at NHS.

Austin Kulp- Assistant Head Coach Coach - Varsity Girls
Coach Austin Kulp is in his first year as Assistant Coach of the Lady Blue devils Soccer team. Prior to Norcross he played collegiate soccer at Tusculum University, where as a freshman he became a starter and helped his team win the SAC Conference Tournament after 2 seasons. He was a four-year varsity player at Heritage high School where he became their captain, garnered All-Region awards, and was invited to play in the GA All-star game on two occasions. Coach Kulp has received his bachelors degree from the University of North Georgia and master's degree from the University of Florida in Wildlife Forensic Science and Conservation. He currently teaches 12th grade Earth Systems.
